AI: Your Genealogical Assistant
Thursday, January 23
AI: Your Genealogical Assistant  (Webcasts)
7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Zoom Webcast, registration is required
Curious about Artificial Intelligence but not sure where to start? Or perhaps you’re skeptical about how AI fits into the world of genealogy? This session is designed with you in mind—whether you’re an AI enthusiast or someone who’s been hesitant to dip a toe into the tech waters.

Join us for an approachable and interactive journey into the world of AI, specifically tailored for genealogists. We’ll begin with an easy-to-understand introduction to what AI is (no tech jargon, we promise!). Next, we’ll explore how tools like ChatGPT can assist genealogists, from organizing research to sparking new ideas.

Live demonstrations will showcase the power of AI in action, including how to extract meaningful data, enhance narrative reports, and tailor your writing to suit different audiences. You’ll also get a hands-on look at accessing AI tools and crafting effective prompts—skills that can make your research more efficient and enjoyable.

This session is all about learning at your own pace, with a welcoming environment for questions and concerns. Whether you’re here to explore the possibilities or just curious to see AI in action, this presentation will show how these tools can support—not replace—your genealogical expertise.
