This 120 page book traces the history of the family who ruled Ostfriesland from 1441 to 1625. In order to fully understand Ostfriesen history, the researcher must know about the House of Cirksena and their role in Ostfriesen history. It should be noted that few books on Ostfriesen history have ever been written in English. This book gives a wonderful glimpse of the life of both the noble and the lower classes during this period of time as well as a brief look at earlier history.  It is written in story format.
