I am a retired Presbyterian minister. Most Straatmeyers who live in the SD area have ancestors born in Loquard

Most trace there's back to Harm Siefkes of Detern and my side back to Bunde Kris Leer. to when all families were made to change there names. I am in contact with families in Germany and the US.
